In my 10 years of teaching, I have shared my classroom with over 500 students. I recently started at an amazing Title I school in Punta Gorda, Florida, teaching 4th grade science and social studies. Each day is filled with the smiles of all 100 grade-level students.
Even though we all come from different walks of life, we all become a family when we enter our room.
As a family we learn and grow together. We take risks, try new approaches to solve problems, and use one another's strengths. Most importantly, we care for one another. We utilize resources in the classroom to make sure each family member gets what they need to be successful.
