We have a lot of old and outdated furniture. We would love some new pieces that enhance learning while still creating an open layout in our classroom. The cubby shelf will provide additional storage and organization for blocks, cars, manipulatives, and more. It will help to make my students' learning materials easier to see and more engaging to play with. The rectangle table will provide additional space for my students to do learning activities and art projects. We would also love to have a work bench and a dress-up island to help organize our different materials and explore different careers! Our current play kitchen is broken and falling apart and therefore we would love to have a new one. My students love to pretend to cook and bake and we have already incorporated themes this school year that follow those interests. Therefore the pretend grocery store, pretend diner, and pretend kitchen will allow our students to use their imaginations and connect to real life experiences. The teepee tent will also allow our students to have a place in our classroom where they can calm down if they are upset or frustrated and also have a place where they can get away from the noise and stimulation of the classroom.
To summarize, these materials will help bring life and organization back into my students' learning spaces. Our classroom is currently a hodgepodge of furniture. I am very excited about these materials and I know they will ultimately help my students be more successful! Thank you!
