My students are very young and for most of them this is the first time they have ever been in school. For that reason, I have a wide range of learners in my classroom with a variety of skills and abilities. Because of this, I need ipads so I can give students individualized instruction that makes learning exciting.
In order to reach the all of the learners in my class, my students go to stations every day for both literacy and math. Stations are meant to be fun and engaging, but there is something missing from mine...ipads! iPads would enhance my stations and my students educational experience because it is something that they can do themselves, which helps make them responsible for their own learning. iPads would also benefit my students because there are so many programs that are exclusive to ipads, like chatter pix and letter tracing, that will help them make connections to what they are learning in order to foster a deeper understanding of the content. Another great thing about iPads is that they can also be used as a listening station, a writing station, and as an art station. These iPads will also help students take ownership of their learning, which will give them confidence they need to continue taking risks. This is one of the many reasons I know the ipads will help my students reach their full potential!
