Our class mission statement states: "Our 4th grade class will come to school to learn, use the 7 Habits, be a leader and get wonderful grades. We won't give up, even if it is hard so we can get into a phenomenal college and have an exceptional life." We are optimistic about the future while being grounded in the reality of working hard now. We have a diverse group of students racially, culturally, and economically in our class. Creating shared experiences through literature and writing, we are growing and learning together. Our class works collectively to support and encourage each other in our educational endeavors. We have discussions which challenge our paradigms and strive to seek first to understand before being understood. As a Leader In Me school, we believe every child and adult is a leader; it is a matter of finding the leader in ourselves and acting accordingly. This year a strong focus is on "Finding Your Voice," so we share and write our thoughts frequently.
