This tent will inject excitement into our Reader's Workshop during the last months of our school year! We are ordering a cozy tent for students to read in during independent or partner reading time. We are also requesting a cotton rug to delineate the tent area in our classroom. The rug will serve two purposes. It will make sitting on the floor more comfortable and will also ensure safety and help to avoid overcrowding in our appealing new reading nook. Third graders will be thrilled to take turns enjoying the tent and rug!
The space will be motivational and promote strong reading habits for all third-grade bookworms in our classroom. Research shows that building reading stamina is essential for students' long-term academic success. We know the rigorous literacy demands of secondary school and strive to develop a love of reading to prepare students for these challenges. Our new tent will be a lightening rod of reading inspiration for 22 third-grade learners!
