My kindergarten class consists of 23 kindergarteners who are energetic, eager to learn, and highly motivated with technology and colorful things. Our students live in a low-income neighborhood with some parents working multiple jobs to keep food on the table and clothes on their backs. Our school serves 100% free breakfast and lunch to all students.
My students live in a neighborhood that was named the most diverse neighborhood in the United States.
Their families come from all over the world with different learning styles, values, and languages. In my class we have at least 7 different ethnicities with 30% of our students working on improving their English language.
