My class is filled with active learners with active bodies and minds!
Each student is able to learn in whatever way they learn best without judgement. For many students, that is not at the desk with a hard chair or even doing the exact assignment as their neighbor.
We try to individualize as much as we can to make each student feel special and unique. We celebrate our differences!
This means that one child may learn better by sitting on a wobble stool to help them focus, while another prefers sitting by the window on a cushion with a lap desk. Just as adults prefer to work in different places in their home, so do children!
These students are provided with hard plastic chairs at a hard plastic desk. I have personally seen them shift position every 2-3 minutes to get comfortable! That is not the best way to learn or focus.
Thank you for any help that you can give! My students thank you also!
