In May we will be holding a celebration called Decision Day! This day is set aside for seniors to celebrate their post-secondary plans. We have many students seeking a 4-year university or community college, but we also have students who will be enlisting in the military, going straight to the workforce, or seeking an apprenticeship! While every student is on a different path to their post-secondary goals, we want to celebrate each student!
Decision Day is an important aspect in our college going culture.
We hold a big celebration in the gym where we announce each senior's post-secondary goal in front of the whole school! We are a Jr/Sr high school, so we also have 7th and 8th graders attending the celebration as well. When our younger kids can see how many options there are after high school, they become more excited about what they can achieve!
