I am teaching 9th grade ELA. The classroom I am in has plenty of storage space, but not a whole lot of room due to its shape. It also is very plain in its looks and supplies. The boards are all still chalkboards or cork boards. I am looking to make my classroom a bit more colorful, fun, and inviting! The kids are here just about every day, so I want them to feel at home.
My school is in a struggling district (hence the lack of supplies). They limit our copying and cannot provide supplies beyond basic lined paper and paper clips. They didn't even have a stapler or pencil sharpener to give! I am used to adapting to the lack of supplies and have purchased a few things myself already, but I am hoping to spruce it up so I can help the kids forget about our limited funding.
