Each year I am lucky enough to work with an extraordinary group of students, who come from a variety of backgrounds. Every one of my students bring something special into our classroom. I love that my students are so curious about life and so eager to learn new things from each other and from their teachers. I take full advantage of every learning opportunity whether the opportunity occurs outside while playing our natural surroundings or during story time when an unfamiliar word is heard for the first time. The school where I teach is in Jersey City, which is one of the largest urban school districts in New Jersey. My school has about 1,000 students from the grades Pre-k through 8th grade.
