This year our Agriculture Earth Science and Agriculture Biology classes will work on labs funded by these projects to help assist their learning. Since there are many English Language learners in the classroom, items like the DNA Model, Volcano Model, and Sedimentary kit can assist their learning with visual representation.
Together, both subjects will be working on the school farm to create an interactive community garden. These students will learn the process of proper soil, watering techniques with drip irrigation, and how the overall growth of the fruits and vegetables are contained in tiny seeds. I want my students to get the hands on experience from start to finish with these concepts and ideas. Please notes that while the two classes are different, they will be integrated together to assist in the transition of Earth Science to Biology with a great twist of Agriculture added to it.
