This project will help 2 different speech pathologists. U-shaped tables help children interact in a more natural way. The tables also allows the therapist to be present with each child by sitting in front of them rather than next to them at a traditional table. Allows for social interaction paired with immediate teaching during each lesson. Currently our children are seated at large circle tables, which does not allow for peer interaction. This is not as conducive to learning in a small group therapy setting. These new u-shaped tables will also free up precious floor space within our small offices to allow students opportunities for free and open play.
