My classroom is my happy place because each day I get to delve into literature and social studies with brilliant 5th graders. I start the day with my homeroom kids, and at lunch my mini-humans swap to a math/science teacher's room while I get his homeroom. Departmentalizing is such a fun and effective way to teach!
With 55% of Snow Hill's students coming from low-income families, my students exhibit a vast array of needs: for some, it is physical comforts; for many, it is a peaceful, safe place; for all, it is acceptance & support (they are Tweens, after all!) Thank you so much for investing in these kids' educational experience & futures.
