In the new globalized world we live in, the demand for computer science and programming will only increase as the decades come by. Learning to code from a young age such as 4 years old set a foundation for developing the interest of students in coding and robotics.
In the digital age we live in, learning how to code is no longer a luxury but rather a need. My students will highly benefit from using Botley the Coding Robot as they develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills that they will utilize across the subjects and for a lifetime.
Given the shortage of computer science majors and programming professionals today, it is only in everyone's best interest to get our young students involved and interested in computer science. As parents and teachers, we must strive to give our children the tools they need to thrive in an entrepreneurial and innovation-led society. Coding toys are a fun way to begin doing this in a Pre-K classroom.
