My students have very limited access to technology. Our society has made the ability to be familiar with and use of technology a necessary skill. Students have to take standardized tests on computers, but have limited access to them throughout the school year.
Our class of 32 only has 4 desktop computers, which makes it difficult to ensure that all of my students are able to utilize them frequently.
My goal is to give my students Chromebooks in order to provide them with the opportunity to develop their technological skills by using Word, searching the internet, and learning basic computer skills, like operating the scroll bar function, typing, changing fonts and letter size in Word, and creating Google Slides.
By learning and utilizing these skills in the classroom, I will be providing my students with the necessary tools they need to be successful.
Our school tries to align our content with the College and Career readiness skills that our students need in the future. I try my best to give my students those tools, and I know I will be able to if our project is met!
