I teach in a self-contained setting for students ages 3-5. We have the great opportunity to teach students from a diverse background that are English Language Learners (ELLs), Special Education Students (SPED), and first-time learners overall.
We have the opportunity to teach students with disabilities, we ALL have different abilities and strengths. The students in our class may have challenges of Autism, cognitive, orthopedic, behavior, or speech to overcome but that doesn't slow them down academically or socially. We love to learn in new ways and learn alongside our same age peers through inclusion and play.
Our students all have different needs and different ways that they learn to accomplish their social, emotional, and academic goals.
