The students will use the carpet every day, multiple times a day. I will bring my students down to the carpet where they will learn reading, math, social studies, and science. My students are more engaged if they have a comfortable area to share ideas together or enjoy a spot to just sit and read. Students are more likely to sit in places other then their desks as it gives them choice and flexibility. The carpet provides a comfortable meeting area for all types of learning. This allows me to implement unassigned flexible seating. The carpet will help to ensure that students are working and are fully engaged at all times. I would like to hand over the responsibility of seating choices to my students. I've noticed that it helps my students become more self-aware of what types of seating and environment help them learn best. And they're empowered by the opportunity to have choices.
