I am a English Language Development teacher and a Title teacher.
My school is a low-income school so a lot of times students don't always come to school prepared for the day.
Our school is a magnificent school because we are an A+ school, which means we incorporate arts into our regular curriculum daily. We are also a Great Expectations model school. GE is a professional development program that provides teachers and administrators with the skills needed to create harmony and excitement within the school atmosphere.
The students I work with our usually struggling reader and those students who have another language spoken at home. Both groups of students I work with have different obstacles they are battling, so I take it as my duty to help them in every way possible to help them make progress and be successful in reading and writing.
