My students need manipulatives to help them become better readers, and headphones to use with computers as we study and learn different reading skills during their computer lab time. The items that I am requesting will provide a better learning environment for my students. The resources will reinforce learning through literacy and social studies centers. The headphones will allow students to listen in a quiet environment for remedial skills needed to master specific concepts in reading, writing, and social studies.
The donations for this project will improve my classroom by reducing the number of behavioral issues because I will be able to provide the appropriate stimulation that my students need to learn.
With less behavioral issues, we can increase our learning and time on task. I'm looking forward to seeing my students more engaged and ready to learn.
The school is a Title I, and the majority of the students receive free or reduced lunch. So, providing the necessary tools will greatly benefit their ability to learn the skills to make them successful.
