Next school year we will be incorporating technology into our school yearbook and newspaper. The Leadership students will video record various events such as sports games, assemblies, science projects, history debates, robotics tournaments and so much more. They will then create a QR code for a each clip and distribute the QR code through the school newspaper and yearbook. 800 students will be able to watch their fellow classmates compete in a robotics tournament from the comfort of their own home! Having this technology will be a way to create community in an entire school of over 800 students. These students will be able to watch highlights and clips from many activities they would not normally see and share int he adventures of middle school with kids they don't usually spend time with.
Leadership students will be working with cutting edge technology, and fine tuning their technology skills through this process. This is a set of skills that is needed to be successful in the world today. They will take these technology skills with them from middle school into high school and beyond.
