My students are 20 very important 5 and 6 year olds. This is some of their first time to come to school and many of them it is their first time away from their parents. They are energetic, silly, and most of all loving. The school they attend is a low income school with majority African American students. Each day they come to school they are working with odds against them and most think they will become just another statistic but not these students, they are hard workers and I believe they will defy the odds!
