Early literacy is so very important. Kindergarten Is where most of the literacy foundation begins. My students are beginning to learn their letters, write their letters, associate letters with their sounds and they are also required to learn preprimer and primer sight words, 92 total. These are words that are frequently found in early readers, such as can, the, go, look and see. Fishing for sight words, leveled sight words practice activities, learning sight word activities, the classroom magnet letters, and alphabet stamps would be very helpful in building those sight words, would keep my Kindergarteners engaged as well as help them grasp this concept. I am also in need of activities to help with sounding out CVC words and phonemic awareness. My students love my listening station, and that鈥檚 why I am would love to have the Listen and Learn phonemic awareness activity. They also enjoy hands on activities which is why I felt that What鈥檚 the CVC activity would be great in helping them segment sounds. My students need to be able to recognize their letters and their sounds, segment words, and read sight words fluently, in order to become successful readers. Kindergartners enjoy activities that are hands on, engaging, and that make learning fun and enjoyable. These materials and activities will provide my students with those opportunities.
