Adding new hands-on materials will aid in providing the building blocks to learning. Offering exposure to literacy and math during center times. These materials will also help with fine motor skills that many children in my classroom have not practiced or gained strength in. Kids rely on fine motor skills to do key tasks in school and in everyday life. Through work and play in the classroom, it can help my students to strengthen their fine motor skills while also having exposure to literacy and math. The games/items chosen are designed specifically for the purpose of educating children. They can motivate self-learning and problem-solving skills to a great extent. Hands-on/play learning plays an important role in teaching by making students collaborate, communicate, interact with teaching students how to work together.
