The resources I am requesting for my classroom have been chosen to give my Special children exactly what they need to make our classroom a successful and effective environment. They will also help us make our classroom a little more organized! We went from a special education classroom of 3 at the beginning of the year to now, at times, 6 special needs students receiving services at once. We have moved classroom spaces in the middle of the year, and help organizing this space is greatly needed for their success.
The Mobile Storage Bin Center and storage bins will allow each of my students to have a special place to keep their notebooks, supplies, and books in my classroom, which will allow them to focus on their learning, not on whether they have everything they need in my room for that day's learning. The magnetic shelves and paper pockets will give me more ways to display the exciting things going on in our room. The wobble cushions and the active learning chair will give my students the ability to choose the type of seating they need to be successful. The last item I am requesting is for a slant board. This item will help several of my students with their writing abilities by giving them a more accessible and visible working surface.
