Students in my classroom enjoy the addition of learning centers in the classroom. These Chromebooks will provide them with the opportunity to go beyond the walls of the classroom and the streets of their neighborhood and experience the world. Currently, our classrooms have 2 PC's in the classroom and share a computer cart with other classrooms. These new Chromebooks would allow for more students to utilize computers while in their centers. These children work on School District approved sites such as Lexia, Google Classroom, Tumblebooks, ABCya and STMath. Additionally, these Chromebooks will help my children explore and research historical places in and around Philadelphia. We will research various museums, including the "new" American Revolution Museum, the National Constitution Center and others that will open their eyes to places they may never have visited in person.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
Students will be provided with additional academic material at the touch of a keyboard. In this technologically literate world, the ability to interact with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to learn and to use new technology!
