My students are diverse, resilient, and have a true appetite for learning. My class is made up of a variety of learning styles and abilities. Several of my students are diagnosed with ADD or ADHD and receive accommodations within the classroom, two of my students receive special education services outside of the classroom. I work tirelessly to find new and effective ways to meet the needs of all learners within my class. Many of my students come from unstable and toxic home environments, yet them come to school and try their best every day. There are several students in my class that live with grandparents or other extended family members due to either deceased parents or parents addicted to drugs/alcohol.
Although my students are in the 6th grade, they have that same eagerness to learn that we often see in kindergartens, so willing and excited to learn new information/skills.
