As a teacher at a small Title 1 school in southeastern Kentucky, I work with a diverse group of 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students, many of whom come from low-income households. Despite facing economic challenges, my students are bright, enthusiastic, and eager to learn. They each bring their unique talents, personalities, and backgrounds to the classroom, and I am committed to helping them reach their full potential. By providing a welcoming environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration, I aim to empower my students to build strong foundations in academics and life skills. I understand that many of my students may face barriers outside of school, and I am dedicated to providing them with the resources and support they need to succeed.
