My goal as a teacher has always been to inspire students to be digital thinkers and creators. In this digital world, it is imperative to be flexible and continue to grow into problem solvers and creative thinkers. Empowering students with hands-on, real-life experiences engages students to dig deeper to evaluate, design, and solve complex problems. As I build on my computer programming piece of my growing MakerSpace in our library, it is imperative to continue to provide students with tools that promote design and computational thinking. Tello drones would be a great addition for our learners. By coding these drones, students can use mathematics and science theory while developing computational thinking, logical thinking, and sequencing to program the drones to fly. I’m anxious to see the thrill in my students’ eyes when they create flight through computer science.
