I teach a variety of students. Some of my students are on-grade level and some are below-grade level. Many of these students struggle with math. They are the reluctant learners who have to try extra hard at getting new math concepts to stick with them. These students don't always see how math can be useful and don't see how the concepts they are learning are related. My second group of students are advanced and above grade level. These students are constantly wanting to be challenged. Motivating these above-average students is altogether different than my lower students. Many of the advanced students like math and strive to do their best.
