These students will be able to use their calculators while working on multiplying and dividing decimals and fractions. They will also be learning to work and solve algebraic equations and the Pythagorean Theorem. Students need to spend their time learning HOW to solve problems using the correct steps instead of worrying about simple computation mistakes that could easily be solved with a calculator. These students need to learn the basic operations to be successful throughout their school years, which will transfer to their skills after high school. These basic operations in 6th grade are the building blocks for their future math courses. I have also included batteries in this project to ensure this project will last quite a few years without having to purchase anything.
