All students can and will learn. I teach a special education class of 20 students with various learning disabilities and students are in grades kinder-5th. I have students with various learning disabilities such as Autism, SLD (auditory/visual processing), intellectually disabled, and other health impairments (ADD/ADHD). Not only do I have students with special needs but I have students in grades Kinder to 5th. All of my students are of minority and come from low income homes. The school is primarily made up of 99% Hispanic, low income students and 97% of student receive free or reduced price lunch. The school is in an area where there is a lot of poverty and gang violence. The school serves as a safe place for students to learn. The school provides counseling services to the students and their families due to many daily living issues they face. Most of the students come from broken homes, single parent homes, live
About my class
