My classroom will be open to not only my students with special needs but all students in the school. The teepee will be used as my regulation station where students can learn to calm their emotions in a safe place. The lamps will allow me to turn off the majority of my fluorescent lights, for a more calming effect. The rugs and pillow will be used for students to sit/lay on while utilizing the regulation station. I also love essential oils and want to diffuse lavender year round. It is vital for children to learn how to appropriately handle their big emotions in a safe place, and I can not wait to provide that for my school.
