Our school is by far one of the most welcoming, loving, inclusive schools I've ever known. Families and our students truly feel that our school is a home. I jump out of bed each morning so excited to teach my kindergartners. My students greet me each morning with a smile and a hug eager to begin our day! We have many kindergartners who have never even held a pencil or colored a picture and yet many others who are reading and whipping through sight words like crazy. I even have one kindergartner who's reading at a 3rd grade level. Pretty amazing the range of skills my little 5 year old sponges possess and it's truly one of the greatest joys of my job, yet at the same time can be the biggest frustration...trying to figure out how to meet everyone's needs and accommodate all my sweet kindergartners.
With iPads and the range of possibilities this piece of technology has, I will be able to better meet the needs of all my students while keeping them highly motivated and engaged.
