These materials (markers, electric stapler, colored pencils, sheet protector, dividers, folders, earbuds, glue gun and hot glue sticks) will last all year long and provide every single student access to meet the Common Core standards. One example can be found in 5th grade Earth Science when students need to engineer and design a biodome that incorporates photosynthesis, the water cycle, food chains while addressing population density issues. Fifth graders will also use these supplies to engineer and design a float for their State Project. Lots of creativity to be had! We are targeting STEM and Design Process thinking in 5th grade. Basic supplies will help students build, decorate, and design projects while tracking assessment progress on grade-level standards.
