CyberPatriot is a national, on-line cyber-security competition founded by the US Air Force in response to growing cyber-security threats to our country. This is a partially asynchronous virtual event.
Competitions such as this, help to provide equity to our underprivileged and underrepresented students, by encouraging them to pursue STEM careers.
Students are encouraged to learn and apply cyber-security techniques to make our country safer. From this competition both valuable skills and scholarship opportunities are provided to our students. Students also learn about system administration, operating systems, coding, network infrastructure and a variety of other computer science related topics.
Our students configure a simulated network environment, configure a variety of virtual machines, running various operating systems, to secure security vulnerabilities, and answer specific network and desktop security questions.
