I have 170 students with similar backgrounds coming from low income families. I recently took this as a culinary instructor to make a difference to give back to a community. I have looked into the my acccount I have less than 2.60 per student for the year to start to teach them about the Food Industry and have fun teaching them how to cook. I will collect a $10 lab from those who can afford it to add to the account. The kitchen is equipped with enough major appliances, the problem is we're in need of smallware ( rubber spatulas, knifes, etc.),storage containers, cleaning supplies and chef jackets, towels and aprons so they can share them from class to class. Our goal is to sell to lunch to the staff and teachers to generate money coming back into the program to be able to purchase food throughout the year and overlap until the next school year.
Without being able to be in the kitchen Some may lose interest.
