As teachers, we attempt to provide our students with a clear yet concise picture of the topics we teach. We are provided with a classroom set of textbooks that, while voluminous in size, tend to be limited in scope. They are an overview of the subject matter and while we strive to provide a more complete and thorough examination of these subjects our students still want more.
My students are ravenous for more specific and detailed information about historical events. In order to quench that thirst, i need to provide them with a source of information that is not limited by the clock and the school bell. I'm requesting a variety of texts including Korean Dream, Patriots History of the Modern World, Becoming Hitler, A Patriot's History of the United States, Reclaiming Israel's History, The Reformation 500 Years Later, Letters to America, The Politically Incorrect Guide to Communism, 48 Liberal Lies About American History, America: Imagine a World without Her, and War Letters: Extraordinary Correspondence from American Wars.
With a better classroom library I can sign out books that satiate their desire for knowledge where our textbooks now fall short.
