An exciting thing is happening this year at our school. Our student council will be creating our school yearbook. This means they will be responsible for taking photos at various events such as our Veteran's Day program, Awards' Day, and other events that happen throughout our year. These students will also be responsible for uploading the pictures to our yearbook website and then they will use the pictures to create our yearbook.
We currently don't have any digital cameras at our school that we can use to capture photos with a resolution quality high enough for our yearbook website. Any pictures that we take with a device such as an iPad come out grainy and distorted when uploaded to the yearbook website. Our goal is to get two digital cameras that will allow us to take high resolution pictures for our yearbook. Our kids are really excited about getting to take part in the creation of our yearbook.
As an adviser, I love the idea of giving students a sense of responsibility and accomplishment. These students will be able to look back in the years to come and be able to say with pride that they had a hand in creating our yearbook. Please help our students create something that will last a lifetime.
