I am the only Dual Credit Social Studies teacher at V. High School. The students who enroll in my courses are able to earn both their high school credit for U.S. History in 11th grade and 6 college credits (Hist101 & Hist102) through my partnership with Nevada State College. They are also able to earn both their Government credit needed to graduate and 4 college credits (PSC101) their 12th grade year. My goal is to be able to have the technology needed to teach college courses at the high school level.
An Apple TV and Oculus would revolutionize my classroom and bring my students into the 21st century!
The Apple TV would help aid my endeavor by allowing me to stream educational content directly to the projector as well as allow me to screen mirror directly from an iPad to the Apple TV and onto the screen. The Oculus will be used to transport my students virtually to key historic sites throughout the United States.
