My name is Zachary Berkley and I am teaching in a Title I school that serves five-hundred students in rural North Carolina. A majority of my students qualify for federal aid and receive free school breakfast and lunch. My students often seem resigned to learning and living in conditions they are unhappy with, but are powerless to change. Every day, I encounter a student in want of the most basic school supplies. An alarming number of students express a genuine interest of dropping out of school entirely. Through 第一吃瓜网, I hope to provide my students with a more optimistic outlook on education and their own futures.
