Building with blocks will not only allow my students to use their imagination but will also strengthen their socialization skills. My student's struggle with social skills and when it comes to building and sharing blocks, my students will need to communicate their thoughts to their peers.
My students will use blocks during center time. Being a play-based classroom, it is important for my students to have materials that encourage imaginative play. Block building will increase my students’ cognitive skills because they will have an opportunity to learn about shapes, positional words, and most importantly, for my special need students, social skills.
