Hello, as the school year is approaching quickly, I would really love your help. This year I will have a group of second graders who are going to need some items for their classroom to help them succeed this year. I will be teaching at a Title 1 school where most of the students receive free breakfast and lunch.
This dry erase table will be used during small group lessons which happens almost every day in classrooms where learning is taking place. Students learn best in small groups especially when students may be struggling in a certain area. In these groups I can focus on what they understand and what they do not understand. I will be able to meet all their individual needs as well as extend learning with fun activities. I do my best to create a "family at school" environment and in my small group鈥檚 students feel confident enough to ask questions verses when they are with the whole group.
Since I started teaching, I have found that students enjoy writing on the tables during math lessons. Showing your work is a big part of math and some students are very reluctant to do so on a sheet of paper. However, when students are introduced to the idea of writing and solving problems on the table, they are more willing to show their work which makes learning math even more fun. I hope you can help with this project.
