I am requesting materials for my middle school classroom! To help them fall in love with math again after months of remote learning, I planned an engineering teamwork challenge where they will have to build a tower using only spaghetti noodles, tape, and marshmallows. To teach them transformations, I need white-board markers so that they can draw the shapes and physically manipulate them to help them understand rigid motions on a conceptual level. I am also requesting more forms of flexible seating because I've seen the benefit of giving students a choice of where to do their independent work. They get way more work done, their work is of higher quality, and they are more comfortable and have agency over their own learning.
I care about helping my students find their passions, and I see a future in STEM for all of my students! Please help me encourage and support my students as they explore their futures!
