I have a class full of amazing students who vary tremendously in their abilities and interests. I try to present the content that I teach in a way that gets them excited to learn while allowing them to be confident and successful. My students love learning when they are able to have hands-on experiences to discover the reasons behind phenomena they see in the world around them.
My students are enthusiastic to learn despite the many challenges they face. The school I teach at is located in a low income area surrounded by higher income schools. My school was 1% away from being qualified as a Title l so we do not receive extra funding and resources for being low income. With a lack of funding, it is extremely difficult to provide the exciting and challenging opportunities that my students need to improve.
