Imagine traveling to a cattle ranch and witnessing artificial insemination or the birth of a calf without ever leaving your classroom desk. With a smart TV I can make this possible for my students.
Many agricultural techniques or experiences are too dangerous and expensive to bring into the classroom. A smart TV will allow students to take virtual field trips to witness agricultural experiences in a safe learning environment. In return this would enhance a student鈥檚 understanding of the material being taught in the classroom.
Agricultural education takes place in and outside of the classroom. My students are required to have a supervised agricultural experience. These are activities outside of the classroom related to agriculture in some way. Students explore agriculture careers or work in an agricultural field. These SAE projects include shadowing a veterinarian, working in a floral shop, raising and showing livestock; the list is endless. A smart TV will allow students to become the teacher by sharing their experiences with the entire class.
