Although my students live in a low income community, it does not mean they should be without the tools they need to create. My goal for enhancing my student's education is to show them the world through science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math. They will be able to witness a bird build a nest, hatch and raise their babies all through the window birdhouse. In addition, my students need a 10-drawer organizer cart, a laptop notebook stand so they can stand while using the laptop, an Autograph EZ Tracer Art Projector to draw and then paint more realistic images and to learn the techniques that come with fine drawing. This will also further enhance their fine motor skills. The additional materials will help grow their S.T.E.AM. curriculum and enhance their education. These tools will provide my students with art materials they would likely go without. My classroom is a flexible, S.T.E.A.M. room that focuses on age-appropriate teaching. It is important to include the arts in a child's education because it not only helps them to better express themselves, it also incorporate the sciences, engineering, and math. When a teacher can scaffold a student's education with multi-sensory methods, their students learn better. This is my first project out of four that will focus on the S.T.E.A.M. model.
