Everyone is a reader, some kids just haven't found the right book yet. Having these culturally diverse books to add to our classroom library will be a great way for my students find their "right" book. It is so important for students to have books with characters that are similar to them. They will see that they are able to do so much. Some of them will really discover a love of reading. Students will read these books for years to come. Giving my diverse students access to these books would be a great encouragement. Without the assistance of generous donors, these students may not truly love reading and will not truly understand their world!
