I have an amazing classroom of 28 wonderful learners in Daly City, California. Most of our students are from low socioeconomic backgrounds and receive free or reduced lunch. Many of our families work multiple jobs just to make ends meet. In spite of that, or because of it, our students have an amazing sense of community with families coming together monthly for food, friendship and learning. Our students are amazing--so many of them are grateful simply to be able to come and learn in such a loving, supportive environment!
