Every one of the students at my school will get into college, including the most competitive schools in the country-- whether they stay and graduate is the battle. I am a high school teacher in an inner-city, college preparatory, Abbot District public school in New Jersey. We have a 99% matriculation rate to colleges and are above national averages on SAT and AP, with 44% of our students qualifying for free or reduced lunch, and many students being first in family to attend college. I teach Language Arts, all grade levels, but primarily the 12th grade, honors and AP level.
