As we increasingly go "paperless" and shift more and more of our work and resources online, our students who don't have access to technology or reliable internet at home are at a disadvantage. In an effort to make our classroom accessible from anywhere, any time, we have actually further disenfranchised our most vulnerable populations. We need Chromebooks to be available outside of class time and during our in-class tutorial time so that we can develop technological literacy and create more equitable access to educational opportunities.
